You may distribute the following honors among members of your family and/or friends (interfaith families must consult with the rabbi). Men and Women called for any honors are required to wear a kippah and Tallit. All honorees should be conservatively and appropriately dressed.
The following is a general division for the Shabbat morning service. The Rabbi, the B’nai Mitzvah Director, the Tutor and the students will work together to finalize all portions of the service. In general:
Student A: Aliyot # 1,2,3; 2nd portion of Haftarah; Speech on Torah Portion; 3 Prayers (Italicized)
Student B: Aliyot # 6,7, Maftir; 1st portion of Haftarah; Speech on Haftarah; Hagbah & G'lilah (Bolded)

Opening the Ark: (Bar/Bat Mitzvah's Parents, Grandparents, and Siblings):
Aliyot to the Torah (maximum 4 people for each) For this honor we must have the person's English name, Hebrew name and the Hebrew names of both parents, living or deceased. Add Kohen or Levi if appropriate.
