Rabbi Matthew Earne is the Associate Rabbi at Congregation Beth Am. He earned his BA degree at Cornell University and his MA in Education from the University of Judaism. He received his rabbinic ordination from New York's Jewish Theological Seminary. In July 2010, the synagogue granted the title of Associate Rabbi in recognition of his maturing and development as a Jewish leader for the Beth Am community. As Associate Rabbi, Rabbi Earne will continue to specialize on Israel, Social Action, Preschool age children and their families, and Informal Jewish Youth Programming, as each of those causes fuel Rabbi Earne’s passion for Judaism.
Rabbi Matthew Earne lives in Carmel Valley with his wife, Elizabeth, and their children Jonah and Gabriella. Liz is both a writer and a private tutor/writing instructor. The two of them feel very fortunate to raise their family in the kind and nurturing confines of Congregation Beth Am.
