Beit Midrash Class

Mondays | 6:30 pm

Rabbi Kornberg’s Beit Midrash class has been a pillar of learning here at Beth Am for nearly 20 years.  In it we open ourselves to the wisdom and depth of Rabbinic Texts, reflecting on topics relevant to today’s world.  No previous experience is necessary, and all our texts are in English.  Join us! . Password  is now required. Password is given in the weekly eblast, otherwise, please contact Bonnie Cohen.

Hang with Rabbi K

Tuesdays | 4:00 pm

While we are all stuck in our homes, take this opportunity and hang with Rabbi K for an hour and shoot the breeze.   at 4:00 pm on Tuesday and join the ZOOM meeting.  

 

Basic Judaism III: Jewish History

There is no doubt that who we are is, to some degree, a product of what has happened to us throughout the ages. By learning Jewish history we learn what makes us Jews. These classes will start with our biblical history and look at what has occurred all the way to today’s news reports.  

 

Virtual Mah Jongg

Let's not let a quarantine stop us from enjoying Mah Jongg. Join the women of Beth Am as we enjoy an evening "away" from the family and play a little Mah Jongg. You don’t have to be a Women’s Circle member to play - males are also invited, so don't be shy, we love new comers!!!   

 

Past, Present + Future of the Conservative Movement

"The Conservative Movement is dying!" That is the refrain we have heard for numerous years now. The reality is that Conservative Judaism still has a great deal to offer us in this modern age, and while it may be true that some of our national organizations struggle with relevance, this course will show how Conservative Judaism is still vibrant, alive, and very relevant.

Nourish both the body and mind as you explore the weekly Parasha with Rabbi Earne virtually. Prepare your lunch and sit in front of your computer and let's see what this week’s Torah reading has to teach us. No previous experience is necessary, and all our texts are in English.
