Reclaiming Jerusalem: Stories from Ammunition Hill

Monday, November 1, 2021 26 Cheshvan 5782

7:00 PM - 9:00 PMLizerbram Family Sanctuary

Alon WaldJoin us as we hear from Alon Wald, the son of Captain Rami Wald z"l, who fought in the 55th Paratroopers Brigade in Jerusalem during the Six-Day War, and was killed in action while leading the Paratroopers into Ammunition Hill.

Alon served his country as an officer in several elite IDF units and went on to serve in the Israeli Secret Service (Shabak), and subsequently oversaw security operations in Israeli Embassies and aviation services around the world.

For the past 10 years, Alon has proudly served as the Director of Operations at Ammunition Hill Museum & Heritage Site in Jerusalem where he is passionately dedicated to sharing the story of his father and all his fellow heroes who bravely fought to reunite Israel’s eternal capital. Alon’s stories are of great interest to anyone who enjoys learning about Israel’s history.

"Loyalty and bravery, like the names of those on the Wall of Honor, are values that were important to my father and ones that are equally important for me to pass on to the next generation." ~Alon Wald
