6:00 PM - 6:30 PMFletcher Cove, Solana BeachJoin the Beth Am community as we symbolically cast off our sins into the Pacific Ocean and start the New Year off right. Meet at 6:00pm on the beach (right of the staircase) in Fletcher Cove
During the holiday of Rosh Hashanah, Jews traditionally proceed to a body of running water, preferably one containing fish, and symbolically cast off their sins. The Tashlikh ceremony includes reading the source passage for the practice, the last verses from the prophet Micah(7:19), “He will take us back in love; He will cover up our iniquities. You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.”
Tashlikh Walk: Over the years at Beth Am, our rabbis and community all come together to walk over to Fletcher Cove. It is a nice way to get together, talk and enjoy the ending of Rosh Hashanah. If you would like to join the walk, please click here for more information, and to sign up. It is not required to sign up, but we wouldn't want to leave without you!
