Prayer, holiday celebrations, and spiritual fulfillment are a key focal point at Congregation Beth Am. Our synagogue offers an array of services and worship opportunities.
Daily minyanim, weekly Shabbat services, High Holy Days, traditional observances, musical gatherings or Torah study, no matter what you’re looking for – joy, devotion, self-reflection, renewal – you’ll find it.
Daily Minyan
Monday - Thursday | 6:00 pm
Sunday | 10:00 am
Location: Beit Midrash
Come together with the Beth Am family daily Monday-Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings, enabling those who are mourning or observing a Yahrzeit to recite the Kaddish prayer, which can only be done in the presence of a quorum (ten or more adults over the age of Bar/Bat Mitzvah). Your presence, therefore, honors both the deceased and the living. When there are Jewish and national holidays observed, please check our main calendar to confirm if there is a minyan or not. Thank you.
Shabbat Morning Service
Saturday | 9:00 am
Location: Lizerbram Family Sanctuary
Every Saturday morning, our Sanctuary is filled with people who come from the four (4) corners of San Diego. We are blessed with a very active laity who lead us in prayer and read our sacred story for us. (Please let us know if you would like to join this group.) In addition, Rabbi Kornberg and Rabbi Earne offer lively discussions and insights that bring our Torah to life. Join us. We would love to have your voice(s) enhance our prayers and discussions. Our synagogue strives to create a safe place for you to engage in a sacred dialogue with God and your soul.
Beit Midrash Minyan
Most Saturday mornings | 9:15 am
Location: Beit Midrash
Check calendar to confirm specific dates. The Beit Midrash Minyan is a traditional, lay-led, egalitarian, Shabbat morning service at which all are welcome. The service emphasizes kavannah, focused, meaningful, engaging, participatory prayer. Members of the Minyan have ongoing opportunities to read Torah, chant the haftarah, lead part of the service or share a d'var Torah. Click here to learn more.
Campfire Shabbat Service

Location: Arch Courtyard
Welcome Shabbat with a very family-friendly outdoor musical service around a campfire in our beautiful courtyard. This spiritual, uplifting service, led by Rabbi David Kornberg and Ephron Rosenzweig on guitar, features lots of fun, camp-style songs. And there’s hot cider, too!
