Click to register JLC Jr is a free program designed to connect and engage you and your child between preschool and Kindergarten with the Beth Am Community!

 

Rabbi Earne with JLC Jr. students"JLC" is the acronym of our Hebrew School: The Jewish Learning Center. Our school is designed to be fun, interactive, and relationship centered. JLC Jr is designed to be a taste of our program. At JLC Jr we also hope you and your child will gain a sense of the community and friendships that are central to our Jewish educational programs at Beth Am. We hope you will also see the blessings of enjoying a relaxing Sunday morning while your children are with us at Beth Am!


Click to register  What does a day at JLC Jr entail? Like JLC, JLC Jr is on Sundays from 9am - 12pm. Each day at JLC Jr begins with Morah Maya Oberman & Shiri Covalin and circle time, followed by a Hebrew educational activity. Students then take part in a delicious cooking activity for an upcoming Jewish holiday. Music, break, and snack follow and then Coach Bucky brings students together for games and activities. Each day ends with a closing circle and then pick up.  


Click to register This is a free program open to any child entering kindergarten in September 2023 who is interested in further exploring Jewish education. You do not need to be a member of Beth Am to participate. However, it is required that any student attending JLC Jr have a completed enrollment form submitted to Rabbi Earne prior to class starting.

My child's immunizations, as required for public schools, are up-to-date. If your child is exempted from getting their immunization shots, we require that you to go through the California Immunization Registry - Medical Exemption (CAIR-ME), and fill out their form then bring us a printed validated form or email to tamara@betham.com.
List all medications currently taken on a regular basis, dosages and reasons for the medication. Also list any additional medical information we should be aware of?

HEALTH PRECAUTIONS AGREEMENT AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY
 
I, the undersigned (“Attendee”), and each person under the age of 18 set forth below (each a “Minor” and together with Attendee, the “Releasing Parties”), desire to enter the premises (the “Premises”) of Congregation Beth Am of North County, a California nonprofit religious corporation (“CBA”) for the purpose of participating in CBA programs and in consideration agree to all terms and conditions set forth below. Attendee understands that the Releasing Parties will be denied entry onto the Premises if Attendee elects not to sign this release of liability.

ATTENDEE UNDERSTANDS THAT BY ENTERING THE PREMISES THE RELEASING PARTIES MAY INCREASE THEIR RISK OF EXPOSURE TO COVID-19 OR ANY RELATED ILLNESS (“COVID”), REGARDLESS OF PRECAUTIONS THAT CBA IS PUTTING IN PLACE.

Attendee on behalf of the Releasing Parties hereby expressly waives and releases any and all claims which the Releasing Parties may now have, or which they may have in the future, whether known or unknown, against CBA and its employees, agents, affiliates, successors, and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”), arising from or in connection with COVID attributable to the Releasing Parties’ activities on the Premises, whether arising from the negligence of CBA or any Released Party or otherwise (collectively, the “Released Claims”). The Released Claims do not extend to claims for gross negligence, intentional or reckless misconduct, or any other liabilities that California law does not permit to be released by agreement.

Attendee agrees that Attendee, and each Minor, as applicable, will abide by all health precautions set forth by CBA. Violation of any health precautions will be grounds for immediate expulsion from CBA programs and denial of entry to the Premises.

By "agreeing" below, each Attendee acknowledges that such Attendee has read and fully understood all of the terms of this release and that such Attendee is voluntarily giving up substantial legal rights on behalf of the Released Parties.

Medical Release

I consent and give permission for my child(ren) to attend and participate in all activities arranged by Beth Am for which he/she is registered. I certify that my child(ren) is/are physically and psychologically able to participate in all such activities. In case of emergency, I authorize Beth Am and its representatives, as my agent and at my sole cost and expense, to engage appropriate healthcare providers to administer, prescribe and/or direct the administration of any medication, other medical treatment, care, surgery, hospitalization, or medical procedures and services deemed appropriate under the circumstances if Beth Am is not able to contact me for instructions in a timely manner. I hereby authorize any hospital which has provided treatment to my child(ren) pursuant to the provisions of Section 6910, of the Family Code of California to surrender physical custody of such minor child(ren) upon the completion of treatment. This authorization is given pursuant to the Section 1283 of the Health and Safety Code of California.
Media Release

I give permission for my child(ren)’s photo/video/written work to be used for press releases or other promotional literature.
Participation Permission and  Release

I give my permission for my child(ren) to attend all scheduled activities with Congregation Beth Am programs. I certify that my child(ren) is physically able to participate in Congregation Beth Am programs and release Congregation Beth Am and its representatives from any and all liabilities whatsoever which may arise from his/her participation in the programs of Congregation Beth Am. I understand that Congregation Beth Am will provide adequate supervision for all programs and will make every reasonable effort to ensure the safety of all participants. However, I am aware that as a non-profit organization, Congregation Beth Am cannot, and will not assume responsibility for any accidents or loss of personal effects at any event. I hereby release Congregation Beth Am from any liability whatsoever which may arise as a result of transportation to and/or from events, for any injury to my child during a program, and waive any claim that hereafter may arise, specifically agree not to sue or bring action against Congregation Beth Am or its representatives. I also agree to release and forever discharge Beth Am from any and all actions, suits, of any kind or nature, whether known or unknown, both in law and in equity, arising out of each scheduled activity my child(ren) elects to participate in. I hereby acknowledge and agree this release applies to any and all actions, suits, or claims, whether known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen, patent or latent, arising out of each activity my child(ren) elects to participate in.
Parent Custody Authorization

I understand that my children may be released to either of his/her parents or guardians unless Beth Am is otherwise notified in writing, with proper documentation. Beth Am cannot withhold a child from a parent unless this procedure is followed. In cases of custody issues, please obtain a Parent Custody Authorization Form from the office.
