Women's Circle & Hadassah presents: A Conversation with Award-winning Author Maggie Anton

Please join us as Congregation Beth Am's Women's Circle and Hadassah of San Diego co-host an amazing evening with award-winning author Maggie Anton. Ms. Anton will talk to us about her latest book The Choice: A Novel of Love, Faith and the Talmud, a powerful love story that challenges Jewish customs concerning women, marriage, and equality. Light refreshments provided.

* Books will be available for purchase at the event, and a book signing will follow.

$10 per person (you do not have to be a member of Hadassah or CBA Women's Circle)

MAggie AntonMaggie Anton's Bio: Maggie is an award-winning author of both fiction and nonfiction and a Talmud scholar with a deep understanding of Jewish women’s history. Her research into the great Jewish scholar Rashi, who had no sons, led to the award-winning trilogy Rashi’s Daughters, followed by a two-book series, Rav Hisda’s Daughter, a National Jewish Book Award finalist and a Library Journal pick for Best Historical Fiction. She also won the Gold Ben Franklin Award in the religion category for Fifty Shades of Talmud: What the First Rabbis Had to Say about You-Know What, a lighthearted in-depth tour of sexuality within the Talmud. Her latest work is The Choice: A Novel of Love, Faith and the Talmud, a wholly transformative novel that takes characters inspired by Chaim Potok and ages them into young adults in 1950s Brooklyn. Ms. Anton lives in Los Angeles, California.
