Women's Circle: Mitzvah Day with JLC

We’re excited to partner with the Jewish Learning Center’s annual Mitzvah Day for an all-new morning of service projects for all ages! The day will begin with gourmet coffee-tasting for the adults, followed by a wide variety of projects for adults and children to do side-by-side. We will conclude by gathering together to enjoy a snack and hear from several of the beneficiary organizations about their work. It’s been a few years since we had the opportunity to participate in a Mitzvah Day, and we are so pleased to be bringing this fun event back for the women of Beth Am. 
 
In preparation for Mitzvah day, we will be collecting the following items. Collections can be left in the bins outside of the JLC building or in the office prior to Mitzvah Day.
 
  • Coins - Bring all your coins from the corner of your home. We will be rolling them and donating the amounts to the San Diego Federation Shaar Hanegev Fund.
  • Old t-shirts - Must be clean. We will make reusable shopping bags for the Coastal Roots Farm's food stand.
  • Toiletries Products - We are collecting products to support our local Jewish Family Service Women’s Shelter. Full size items are preferred, but travel size are accepted (body wash/soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, hand sanitizer, Baby hygiene (shampoo, soap, diaper cream, misc.) 
  • Ziploc Bags - New or Gently Used
